In Memories

In Memories
Mr Chan Tan Wei.

To pay my respect to my ex-English teacher, Mr Chan, I will compose this post in English. Mr Chan passed away on 4th July 2012, killed by cancer number 4th stage. Today, school had organized a short trip to Mr Chan's house (not far away from school) to pay our respect to our teacher. More than 100+ students went to his house, doesn't matter how many students really care about Mr Chan or just few of them who don't want to study in school only, but it's so touching when so many students are really feeling sad for Mr Chan passed away.

Although Mr Chan was not with Form 3 students for too long last year, almost half a year and then he leave SMJK San Min to Batu 12. His kindness is so unforgettable, his cheerful smile, he looks more like a father for us more than a teacher. How many teacher could really hold his feeling, and NEVER EVER be angry at us. As a discipline teacher, he done his job more kindly. I never heard him scold any student but just some normal warning.

Mr Chan show his patience to every students. It's not hard to remember when every time somebody could not understand some English words or phrases very well, he explain to all of us thoroughly. I still remember the last day before he leave to Batu 12, my class 3 Terkois had made a simple farewell card with the signature of every student in the class. Mr Chan came to our class, although he is leaving and doesn't have much time left, he said:" Thank You 3 Terkois. I will never forget every one of you in this class. Goodbye. Once again, Thank You!"

That was the last time I saw Mr Chan, until today. Mr Chan was so skinny today I saw him, lay peacefully. I wonder how much he suffer when he knew he is going to pass away soon, does he suffer painfully during his last moment?

This photo of Mr Chan leaving, is already a year passed. How could we know? Mr Chan had already leave us 3 days ago. It's always hard to say goodbye. Farewell Mr Chan. May you Rest In Peace...
